Tambaga – A Community With Vibrant Economy

The ImpactSite® with the Solartainer® Amali was commissioned in Tambaga at the beginning of 2019. We have already been able to empower more than half of the local people by providing access to sustainable electricity. Today, many people come to Tambaga because of cool drinks, music, entertainment and light in the evening, and new businesses such as hairdressers, internet cafés attract people to the community.

A Mix of Nature and City Life

Tambaga is located in the Kayes region, on the main road from Guinea to Bamako. In the north-west of the region there lies a reservoir, embedded in a small mountain range with red rocks. Tambaga itself is characterised by round huts with thatched roofs, and due to its convenient location on the main road, many small businesses such as kiosks and restaurants prosper here.
