Gouméra – From Village to Small Town

Gouméra was already very lively before our arrival. The ImpactSite®, which has been in operation since May 2018 with a Solartainer® Amali, has increased the lively hustle and bustle on the streets. Due to the street lighting, people may now also enjoy the evening hours together. Thanks to good financial conditions, most people book our larger private electricity tariffs to use televisions, kitchen appliances and radios. The tradespeople and vendors along the thoroughfare are the main beneficiaries of the productive electricity.

In the West of Mali

Gouméra is located north of the regional capital Kayes. Due to its location in western Mali, it is not far from Senegal and Mauritania. The flourishing trade with neighboring countries and an extensive diaspora provide Gouméra with comparatively good financial conditions. This has enabled the former village to develop into a small town with great potential.
